Roger Vivier‘s fall ’15 collection, shown under the artistic direction of Bruno Frisoni, featured the label’s signature dainty designs with new, playful details that unstiffen its uptown DNA.
While the heels were still posh in spirit, details such as multicolor metallics and frayed lace finishes gave sophisticated stilettos a youthful spin. Heeled pumps and ankle booties were given cutouts lined with metallic color pops.
Crystals were used as embellishment on straps and heels, some of which were curved in formation. Oversized satin bows were added onto the front of heeled sandals, which added a touch of theatricality to the shoe’s simple silhouette.
Coincidentally, crystal heel details, reminiscent of the New Year’s Eve Ball in Times Square, indeed rang in a New Year—and look—for the brand.
