Pamella Roland is celebrating her namesake label’s 20th anniversary with a glamorous new book.
Launching on Sept. 5, Roland’s Rizzoli tome “Pamella Roland: Dressing for the Spotlight” chronicles her two decades as a fashion designer. As the $85 volume highlights her brand’s signature eveningwear, it features an array of imagery that shows her design processes from sketches to the runway. Fittingly, the cover features a model draped in a lavender Roland gown — complete with a sparkly bodice and voluminous tulle skirt — shot in an ornate garden.
Given Roland’s ties to Hollywood and New York City it-girls, the book also includes memorable celebrity moments in her career. Paris and Nicky Hilton, Halle Berry, Gigi Hadid, Vanessa Williams and more have worn Roland’s glitzy and colorful designs for a range of special occasions over the years, from weddings to the red carpet. In tandem with its title, the book shows these moments to emphasize Roland’s knack for creating eye-catching looks — and Williams even wrote its introduction, as well.
In addition to Roland’s past, the book also shares a glimpse into her present and future. Her 20th anniversary fashion show, held in Sept. 2022 at New York Fashion Week, is prominently displayed in the tome with both runway and backstage photos. The book will also share a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process for Roland’s upcoming fragrance, the designer’s second-ever perfume since launching her debut scent in 2021.
“Pamella Roland: Dressing for the Spotlight” is now available on Rizzoli’s website and bookstores.
