Burberry stepped out to showcase a relaxed and elegant summer 2025 collection during London Fashion Week on Monday.
And while the ready-to-wear brought the ease of summer, so too did the footwear this season. For this collection, creative director Daniel Lee showcased an interesting range of shoes that emphasized stitched, studded and woven details that evoke coastal crafts.
Highlights for women include Lee’s Wave, Cabana and Twine mules and sandals, which feature trompe-l’oeil leather straps in the shape of nautical knots, while the Burberry check is reworked in textural weaves, chain mail and Lurex.
New this season is the Paddle sandal, defined by a B-shaped toe outlined in metal and versions with a sculptural leather heel. The heeled Potter is a new clog shape detailed with a ‘b’ clip. Equestrian-inspired Saddle boots return, updated in washed suede. And traditional opanka sole sandals inspire the molded rubber footbed on the Wave.

As for the men’s shoe offering, styles are softly structured and grounded by a slim rubber sole. This includes the leather Decker penny loafers, which come in delicately frayed Burberry check and floral fabrics.
Supple leather Trunk Strap clogs and Pearl loafers are detailed with the ‘b’ clip and fringing are also standouts, while the Blade boots and sneakers in tumbled canvas and leather, pair alongside lightweight unlined versions. Plus, the men’s Pavilion sandals are strapped with Burberry check and color-block designs.
Lee’s latest footwear range is complimented by his bag collection for spring 2025 – both categories the designer exceled at when he was at the creative helm of Bottega Veneta. Bags this season are rooted in the outdoors, unlined for lightness and in relaxed shapes. Inspired by country pursuits, the Country is a new crossbody, bucket and tote bag in grainy leather with the Burberry check.
The B Clip is a new messenger bag, tote and holdall in tumbled leather and suede plus Burberry check styles in patchwork leather. It is named after the ‘b’ shaped hardware and detailed with a hand-stitched top handle – inspired by equestrian saddles. Plus, shoulder bags come in chainmail Burberry check, while the Thistle sling bag reworks the silhouette of bagpipes in wool woven with the Burberry check and a printed equestrian knight design.
