Ugg got a makeover courtesy of Ashish.
The luxury brand teamed up with the Southern California-based footwear brand for its spring ’24 collection, that was presented during London Fashion Week on Monday. After four years away from the runway, the brand came back with a show described by the designer as a “blast of sex-positive, body-positive, joyful celebration of everyone.”
The collection used six styles from Ugg total, adding Ashish’s own spin to the cozy slippers and boots. The runway saw iterations of the Classic Dipper, Tasman X, Goldenstar Clog, Tasman Weather Hybrid and Tasman Slipper. Each product was customized exclusively for the show, with pastel colors and metallics, sequins, floral graffiti and scribbles, mirroring the articles of clothing seen on the runway.
“It was really interesting to juxtapose Ugg shoes with evening gowns and highly embellished pieces of clothing,” Ashish said in a release. “It provided for really textural counterpoints and storytelling.”
