Neiman Marcus and Amina Muaddi celebrated the debut of an exclusive collection of footwear and handbags, fêting the partnership with a personal appearance and dinner on Wednesday night in Los Angeles.
The capsule, named “Midnight in Paris,” was created to commemorate the Innovation in the Field of Fashion award that the designer received at the Neiman Marcus Awards in March during Paris Fashion Week.
“I wanted to design a glamorous collection that would reflect this special moment in my career but would relate to every woman with an occasion to celebrate,” Muaddi said in the collection release. “And experiencing the joy of treating ourselves to a dazzling pair of shoes or a beautiful purse is simply a reminder to celebrate ourselves at any given moment. This collection is like a beautiful, moody, bright night and I hope our customers at Neiman Marcus will feel radiant while wearing it.”

The collection, comprised of 10 shoe styles and two handbag styles, includes a few of Muaddi’s greatest hits, including the Rosie, a slingback pump with the designer’s famous martini heel, the Camelia, a traditional slingback stiletto heel and the Dalida satin platform. There are also new silhouettes, such as the Fiona bootie, done in a metallic blue, and new details, such as the pave crystal stars on the Leila slipper.
“As the inaugural recipient of the Innovation Award, Amina exemplifies the strength of ingenuity through her innovative footwear and accessories designs,” said Lana Todorovich, Chief Merchandising Officer, Neiman Marcus in the collection release. “Leaning into our history as brand builders, we identified her talent early in her career. Naming her a Neiman Marcus Award recipient was a nod to Stanley Marcus, who believed in celebrating tastemakers at the forefront of their careers.”
Muaddi unveiled the collection on Wednesday with a customer activation at the Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills, marking her first personal appearance in the U.S. The celebration continued with a private dinner at the Chateau Marmont.
