Todd Snyder Teams Up With Clarks Originals on Fuzzy Update to the Caravan Boot

For his latest tie-up with Clarks Originals, menswear designer Todd Snyder has unveiled a fuzzy version of the footwear brand’s Caravan Boot.

Snyder’s exclusive new take on this classic boot — originally inspired by one of Clarks’ archival 1970s styles — is made from Forest Stewardship Council-certified rubber crepe in a moccasin construction that features a chunky sole and “hairy” suede upper.

The collaborative boot comes in two colorways — gray and navy — and retails for $220.

“I wanted a rugged-yet-modern boot that felt new and fresh for the season,” Snyder said. “So we went into the archives and found a lesser-known Clarks style from the 1970s. The Caravan makes you do a double take, and its versatility is just as suitable for the city as it is for the country.”

To bring the Caravan Boot to life, Snyder and Clarks Originals partnered with artist Nick Doyle to feature the boots inside his Brooklyn studio.

This launch comes just weeks after Snyder launched his very first in-house sneaker. After a decade of footwear collaborations with New Balance, Vans and Converse, Snyder launched the Tuscan Court Shoe. The limited-edition classic court style combines the designer’s love for old-school basketball and tennis shoes with luxe Italian craftsmanship more commonly found on a bespoke dress shoe.

The introduction of the Tuscan Court Shoe marked Snyder’s continued expansion into the luxury footwear space. In 2022, the designer released his first footwear style, The Nomad Boot, a rugged suede chukka style made in Italy. And earlier this year, Snyder worked with two of Europe’s finest cobblers to create a collection of Italian leather sandals and made-in-Spain espadrilles.

The Todd Snyder x Clarks Originals Caravan Boot drops on Oct. 4 at 10 a.m. and will be available exclusively at Toddsnyder.com and select retail locations.
