Salomon and New York-based fashion brand Sandy Liang have teamed up once again.
For the duo’s second collaboration together, Salomon and Liang will release two new shoe styles: the Salomon Speedcross 3 Ribbon Sandy Liang and the Salomon RX MJ Sandy Liang.
The new Salomon Speedcross 3 Ribbon Sandy Liang shoe is a fresh take on the footwear brand’s legacy Speedcross 3, a lightweight and highly cushioned trail runner. The model combines the technical performance of the original with the shape of a ballet flat. The silhouette, which retails for $160, features a pink satin ribbon that can be tied up the calf, and will be available in a black/cloud pink colorway.
Taking inspiration from the traditional Mary-Jane, the new Salomon RX MJ Sandy Liang is a hybrid of the RX MOC 3.0, with comfort features like enhanced breathability. The latest iteration includes a lightweight cushion constructed for premium comfort with nubuck leather and technical 3D open mesh. The style will be available in black and vanilla ice colorways, and is priced at $150.

“I love the unique lacing system of the Speedcross 3, with the soft ribbon tie detailing contrasting the otherwise technical elements of the shoe,” Liang told FN exclusively. “The RX MJ was developed with double straps which bring in the style of a Mary-Jane but also make it a shoe you can easily slip on and off.”
The relationship between the brands was established at New York Fashion Week in September 2021, which led to Liang’s reimagination of Salomon icons in 2023.
“Our first collaboration was focused on updating Salomon styles I loved with key elements of nostalgia and femininity,” Liang added. “This time around, I’m thrilled to expand on my ideas to incorporate my design point-of-view in a more distinctive way.”
Alex van Oostrum, global marketing manager of Salomon Sportstyle, told FN exclusively that the brand’s partnership with Sandy Liang has been a “great exercise” on working collaboratively to bring elements of the two brands to life in a way that translates across both worlds. “The collaboration is an effortless combination of Sandy Liang’s world of girlhood and adventure and the technical DNA of Salomon,” van Oostrum said.
The second Salomon x Sandy Liang collection will be available in unisex sizing on July 18 for exclusive purchase at the Sandy Liang New York City flagship store and on EQL.com via raffle on sandyliang.info. The global release launches on July 25 and will be available at select retailers and Salomon.com.
