Queen Camilla has mastered understated elegance, and this was apparent as she stepped out on royal duty on Tuesday. The British royal showcased a chic, monochromatic look while visiting The Beaney House of Art & Knowledge Museum in Canterbury, England. She was there for the unveiling of a statue depicting Aphra Behn, one of the first professional English language female writers and a popular 17th-century playwright.
The Queen donned a camel cashmere camel coat featuring delicate stitching along the edges, vertical seam detailing down the front, and a concealed front closure. The coat from British couturier Anna Valentine hit a few inches below the knee, giving way to boots of the same color.
Queen Camilla wore her favorite suede knee-high boots from Russell & Bromley. The British footwear brand is often worn by Kate Middleton, Pippa Middleton, and Rita Ora.
The style features a rounded almond toe, medial side zippers for added convenience, and sturdy block heels that look to be around 3 inches. King Charles’ longtime partner also wore a blue, multicolored paisley-print frock. She accessorized with black leather gloves, pearl earrings, a pendant necklace, and an ornate cross brooch pinned to her coat.
One of the monarch’s most-worn designer shoe brands for formal outings is Chanel. In particular, she is a longstanding fan of Chanel’s signature black and white cap-toe pumps. She also has worn heels from the British brand, Sole Bliss, on many occasions. As the name suggests, Sole Bliss specializes in stylish footwear with a focus on comfort. The brand’s shoes feature wider toe boxes, stretchy hidden panels, and extra layers of cushioning. She’s been a fan of Sole Bliss since the founder Lisa Kay launched the brand in 2017.
In 2023, Lisa Kay told “People” magazine, “I don’t know exactly how she heard about Sole Bliss but I can only assume it was through word of mouth.” The veteran shoe designer continued, “One day, one of my lovely girls in the office noticed an order from Clarence House, and a few weeks later, we saw her wearing the shoes — it was incredibly exciting!”
