DSW is celebrating Mother’s Day this year with a campaign featuring multi-tasking moms Heidi Montag, Nia Hill and Jamie Chung wearing their favorite footwear and accessories from the retailer.
Montag, Hill and Chung handpicked the styes they wear in the campaign, shoes which are featured in DSW’s wide-ranging Mother’s Day edit. Each campaign star has her own brief clip emphasizing that moms should get the peace and quiet they deserve for their special holiday.
“No, I don’t want a home cooked meal for Mother’s Day. I want room service. I want to get whatever I want, and I don’t want to share it,” Montag says in her campaign video, showcasing the Crown Vintage Nalahni Mary Jane Flat with a silky pink set. The footwear style blends many trends, showcasing not only the Mary Jane ballet flat silhouette but also a semi-sheer upper and a metallic strap.
In the final segment of the video, Montag is wearing a robe and Nike sneakers. She references her husband Spencer Pratt, with whom she has two kids: “For Mother’s Day, I just want some peace and quiet. Sorry, Spencer, my phone’s on do not disturb.”
In Chung’s campaign video, the actress and reality star rounds out a casual athletic look with Skechers Hands Free Slip-ins: Glide-Step Altus Sneaker. Showcasing an array of trademarked Skechers technology, the sneaker features a padded collar with a Heel Pillow, an Air-Cooled Memory Foam Footbed and a Glide-Step midsole.
“I don’t want flowers or jewelry for Mother’s Day. I want to go on a hot mom walk with my phone on silent,” says Chung, who has two kids with husband Bryan Greenberg.
“For once let me be the one to sit back and relax while someone else does the chasing, refereeing and snack wrapping,” she says as she lies back on a lounge chair — though it’s not long before she offers to show a photo of her kids to someone off-camera.
Hill, who shares two kids with husband Bill Burr and recently spoke at the Black Women in Food Summit in April, says in her video, “No, I don’t want a family vacation for Mother’s Day. I want a staycation, alone.” Carrying several DSW bags in a later segment, she says, “I don’t need any gifts for Mother’s Day. I just want to go shopping by myself — so I can buy exactly what I want.”
To go with a breezy white ensemble, Hill wore Madden Girl’s Vogue Pump, a kitten heel slingback style with a floral design showcased on the mesh upper.
DSW is no stranger to a celebrity partnership. In 2024, the company worked with Ariana Madix for the second time to showcase her favorite holiday shoes and accessories. Another DSW collaboration last year involved celebrity stylist Mimi Cuttrell curating a footwear collection for the fall.
