Over a decade after their first collaboration, Cole Haan has teamed up once again with Japanese creative Hiroshi Fujiwara and his Fragment Design label on a men’s footwear collection.
According to the American footwear brand, the latest tie-up sees Fujiwara infuse his signature design language into Cole Haan’s American Classics loafer collection.
The capsule includes the Cole Haan x Fragment Design American Classics Penny Loafer in two colorways, black spectator/white and black/black, and the Cole Haan x Fragment Design American Classics Tassel Loafer in black/white. All styles are priced at $220.

Crafted in premium full-grain leather, Cole Haan said in a statement that the newest styles juxtapose formal silhouettes with irreverent streetwear details. These include a striped take on a spectator, Fragment Design’s double lightning bolts, a logo tucked inside a penny slot, a lug sole and a shock-absorbing footbed.
“My inspiration for this loafer was mainly from 1950 and ‘60s Ivy league style,” Fujiwara said in a statement. “I’m very particular about shoes and with Cole Haan’s advanced technology and innovative approach on classic shoe styles, I was able to make the perfect, timeless pair.”
The limited-edition Cole Haan x Fragment Design collaboration initially dropped in Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia and South Korea on March 8.
The collection is available in select Kith locations in the U.S., Toronto, Paris and online. On May 14, the collection will be available on ColeHaan.com and select Cole Haan locations in Spain and Dubai.
Cole Haan and Fujiwara first came together in 2012 on three colorways of the footwear brand’s LunarGrand wingtip silhouette and one colorway of the LunarGrand Chukka boot. This initial collection was followed up by a special holiday drop later that same year featuring a saddle shoe with a contrasting sole and a tasseled loafer, with both models featuring the LunarGrand sole.
In March, Cole Haan kicked off its year-long celebration to mark ten years of its ZerøGrand silhouette. To honor the occasion, the nearly 100-year-old footwear company will launch six new editions of ZerøGrand Remastered shoes throughout the year. The debut drop saw the release of the ZerøGrand Remastered Wingtip and Plain Toe Oxfords.
Cole Haan marked another milestone in November, opening its 500th store as it continues its global expansion.
