Zooey Deschanel Wears Leather Booties with Fiancé Jonathan Scott at Ulla Johnson and Studio 189’s NYFW Shows
Zooey Deschanel took her engagement to fashionable new heights during New York Fashion Week — complete with sleek shoes.
On Sunday morning, Deschanel and fiancé Jonathan Scott arrived in Brooklyn for designer Ulla Johnson‘s spring 2024 fashion show at Powerhouse Arts. For the occasion, the “New Girl” star wore a pair of smooth black leather booties with ankle-high shafts. The low-heeled style served as a sharp base for Deschanel’s show attire: a black and light green knit geometric-printed sweater, layered over a Peter Pan-collared blouse, black miniskirt and matching tights.
Deschanel completed her look for Johnson’s show with a silky green handbag, adding to the colorfully dressed array of stars in attendance — including Judy Greer, Lily Rabe and Katie Holmes. Scott complemented hi fiancée in a set of dark trousers and a matching T-shirt, sharply belted under a gray blazer for the occasion.

Following Johnson’s show, both Scott and Deschanel changed outfits before attending Studio 189’s spring 2024 show at Spring Studios. This occasion found Deschanel in the same black tights and boots, layered beneath a bright purple Studio 189 shirtdress cinched with a leather belt. Scott coordinated with the “500 Days of Summer” actress in a purple and pink printed button-down shirt atop blue pants and Gucci loafers — simultaneously creating a matching couples’ moment in the front row.
Deschanel’s boots provided a sharp base for both of her outfits, which featured distinctly different aesthetics and opposing color schemes based on the traditional color wheel — proving the pair’s effortless nature. Her attire gained a quirky finish from its stark white collar and silky bow necktie, leaning into the color scheme for Bendet’s collection — which was inspired by Truman Capote’s “swans” and 1960’s socialites.
NYFW is held in New York City in September, marking the start of Fashion Month.
