Zoë Saldaña modeled an elegant pair of black T-strap pumps at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event alongside her “Avatar” collaborators on Aug. 9 in Anaheim, California.
Saldaña was present at the massive Disney event with “Avatar” director James Cameron and her co-star Sam Worthington, revealing to fans that the third film in the hugely successful franchise will be titled “Avatar: Fire and Ash.”
Saldaña’s shoes complemented a chic outfit featuring a sheer halter top. Her high-waisted pencil skirt fell just below her knees and featured a slit beginning around mid-thigh. A black bralette was visible beneath the transparent halter top, adding a dynamic layered component to the ensemble. The top was also adorned with a large black floral appliqué at the neck.
The actress, whose “Avatar” character Neytiri first appeared on the big screen in 2009, underscored her sophisticated outfit with a pair of glossy T-strap pumps. The patent leather shoes included an additional buckled ankle strap above the T-strap, adding an extra element to the typical T-design. The pumps are enclosed in the back and feature a narrow heel in addition to a somewhat rounded toe. Ferragamo offers a T-strap pump in that style retailing for $1,090.
Other stars to have recently worn a functional and stylish T-strap pump include Naomi Campbell, who showcased a black pair from Chanel in June; and Naomi Watts, who stepped out in a delicate variation of the style in July.
Saldaña knows how to make a statement in heels. At the Cannes Film Festival this year, the actress wore a sharp pair of sheer pumps, displaying another popular footwear trend. Also at the festival, she slipped on multiple pairs of shoes from Saint Laurent, including a brown patent leather slingback pump and a strappy heeled sandal with small glittering buckles.
