Zoe Saldana Pops in Striking Satin YSL Wedges and Yellow Dress at the Golden Globes First-Time Nominee Luncheon
Zoe Saldaña attended the Golden Globes First-Time Nominee Luncheon in Beverly Hills, Calif. in a pair of sleek strappy sandals.
Held at Maybourne Beverly Hills, Saldana, who is nominated for “Best Supporting Actress” courtesy of her role in “Emilia Pérez,” attended the event in a pair of black strappy sandals that provided an elegant contrast to her bright yellow dress. Black strappy sandals have been a popular option for celebrities over the course of 2024, and Saldana’s were constructed with fine patent leather, and characterized by a thin strap across the upper portion of the shoe.
Also made with a triangular-toe design, the shoes were secured by a secondary strap that criss crossed around her ankle. The silhouette was finished with a seemingly tall wedge heel ranging between 3-to-4 inches in height. While the side of back of the shoe weren’t entirely visible, the actress appeared to be wearing a pair of Saint Laurent’s stunning Salomé wedges in satin crepe and metallic leather, which have a concealed yellow wedged heel. The model wearing the yellow ensemble on the designer’s website appears to be wearing the same shoe but in the color blue.

Wearing a flowy yellow dress with a cream belt buckle as its centerpiece, Saldaña wore her highlighted locks in loose style that framed her face nicely, and a dewy, natural red lipstick makeup look that further complemented her bohemian look. The “Avatar” actress kept her accessories minimal with a few gold rings on her finger.
Strappy sandals are a footwear style that has been around for decades, dating back to the early 1900s and going through many variations over the years. Strappy sandals can come in many different forms, including peep-toe designs, wedges like these, and have been praised for their versatility and ability to work well with a variety of outfits.
Saldaña, herself, was spotted in a pair of the Saint Laurent Liza Sandals in Satin Crepe last month while attending the 29th Annual Elle’s Women in Hollywood celebration. The Italian-made shoes feature a crisscross front, almond toe and a wrap-around ankle strap as their signature features, and are set on a geometric 4.3-inch flared heel that sits atop a leather sole with an adjustable ankle strap.
