Zoe Saldaña got glammed up and was out on the town on Saturday. The Oscar-winning actress joined the likes of Gal Gadot, Lily Collins, Gayle King and more.
Saldaña was styled by Petra Flannery, who she has worked with for some time. She wore an off-the-shoulder long-sleeve dress. The piece featured two pockets at the hips. It includes visible seams running down the front. Because of the off-the-shoulder silhouette, Saldana’s chest is exposed, showing what appears to be a temporary floral tattoo. The tattoo is an image of a rose.
On foot, Saldana wore a pointed-toe heel from Saint Laurent. She’s worn the shoe before. Specifically, she paired the style with a Saint Laurent look at Vanity Fair’s Oscars After Party. That look also included an exposed chest and Saldana didn’t have her floral art.
The shoes have a black fabric upper that appears to be satin. The toe box is an elongated and pointed silhouette. This is the end of the lowcut vamp. The cut of the vamp exposes toe cleavage. The shoe includes a t-strap-esque design. It is secured with a crystal-embellished buckle. The entire style is built on a stiletto heel of about three to four inches.
Saldana and Saint Laurent have been enjoying a close relationship for over a year. Saint Laurent Productions produced “Emilia Perez,” for which Saldana won an Oscar. In addition, the actress starred in one of the brand’s campaigns. As such, she’s been wearing a series of Saint Laurent looks. This has included the platform open-toe La Scandale heel which she has worn multiple times.
While it’s unclear the name of this style, it includes many details that are seen in recent Saint Laurent styles including the crystalized buckle, the shape of the heel as well as the toe box.
The annual Breakthrough Prize ceremony is put on by the Breakthrough Prize Foundation. The organization honors scientists for their work in “gene editing, human diseases, the fundamental particles of the Universe and its underlying mathematical principles.” Some have referred to the event as the Oscars of Science. The six Breakthrough Prizes this year were $3 million each.
