Zendaya is finishing up the last few stops of her “Challengers” tour but she has a few more pairs of white shoes. The actress was out and about, making appearances in New York City for screenings and other events wearing white footwear from On and Alaïa.
For the past month, Zendaya has been spotted time after time in white stiletto pumps, often the Christian Louboutin “So Kate.” The style has followed her around Europe (in Paris, Rome, and London) and through the United States (in Los Angeles and New York.) Recently, she’s been trying out other shoes though like her Bottega Veneta ballerina flats that she wore earlier this week. It is seen as a consistent component of her “method dressing,” selecting her looks based on the project she is promoting.
In “Challengers,” which debuts in theaters this weekend, Zendaya plays Tashi Donaldson, a tennis prodigy who is benched after a life-changing knee injury. Tashi then becomes the coach for the man she would go on to marry, who is the ex-best friend of her ex-boyfriend.
Zendaya went fairly literal, tapping directly into the tenniscore trend with two of her looks. She selected The Roger Centre Court, a tennis-inspired sneak from On for an appearance at the AMC Theater at Lincoln Center. In the white, gum colorway, the pared-back silhouette features clean lines and ample cushioning. The upper is made of faux leather and flex groves on the sole support natural foot movement.
The shoe was designed in collaboration with Roger Federer and is $189.
For another stop, the star wore a pair of custom Alaïa pumps. Also in white, the pumps feature a small ankle strap for security as well as a stiletto heel. As a result of the ankle strap, the side profile of the shoe features a beautiful silhouette, swooping up and cupping the back of the foot.
