Zendaya slipped into her what is seemingly becoming her signature shoe of sorts for an appearance on “Good Morning America” on Monday. The actress wore a pair of white pointed-toe pumps in New York City as the latest stop on her “Challengers” press tour.
Given the Fashion Icon award by the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 2021, Zendaya has been wearing the white Christian Louboutin “So Kate” on a recurring basis over the past few months. She’s worn them throughout Europe at events in Paris, London and Rome before bringing them Stateside, touching down in Los Angeles and New York City. Styled by longtime collaborator Law Roach, it is viewed as an extension of the pair’s penchant for method dressing.
While on “Good Morning America,” Zendaya was joined by “Challengers” co-stars Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist, who discussed preparing for the film and the upcoming Met Gala.
Named for Kate Moss, the Christian Louboutin “So Kate” is one of the brand’s most popular shoes. The style is made of 100 percent leather and has the company’s trademark red sole.
Featuring a pointed toe and a rounded vamp, the pump has a stiletto heel of 4.7 inches.
Though there is no evidence of an official partnership through a collaboration or a campaign, Zendaya has been wearing Louboutin styles since the beginning of her career. She has worn a variety of colors and styles from the company: in 2016, she notably wore the brand’s “Hot Chick” style, which features a steep pitch and no platform. But the star has a particular affinity for the “So Kate,” which she often wears in white.
“I think that has been Law and I’s staple shoe since the beginning,” she said in a video interview with Harper’s Bazaar. “There’s nothing like a pointy toe pump. The ‘So Kate,’ I’ve got it in every color and wear them with everything.”
