Fresh off the Golden Globes red carpet, where she debuted a new engagement ring she received from Tom Holland, Zendaya is back at it. The star is still promoting her film “Challengers,” which landed her a Golden Globes nomination.
On Monday night, she attended a promotional For Your Consideration screening in Los Angeles where she participated in a post-film Q&A. Dressed by Law Roach, she wore a vintage leather jacket as well as a tulle skirt both from John Galliano’s Christian Dior.
For shoes, Zendaya returned to her old faithfuls: Christian Louboutin’s So Kate. The pair she selected were in a black satin. They include So Kate’s notable razor thin stiletto of almost five inches teetering on a single sole. The So Kate is named for supermodel Kate Moss and features a pointed toe in addition to being cut low on the foot, revealing more toe cleavage and skin than most pumps. It also includes the signature Louboutin red sole.
The So Kate is one in a family of Kate named heels from Louboutin. Louboutin started that series with the Kate before adding the So Kate and later the Kate Max. Though the So Kate is generally a popular heel, Zendaya has become one of its foremost unofficial ambassadors. She has worn the So Kate in various colors throughout her career, but during her press tour for “Challengers” last year, she often wore the heel in white. It became a recurring news item.
Following all the chatter, Louboutin debuted a new style at a presentation in Paris named the Miss Z. Though that heel is similar to the So Kate, its design makes the heel appear taller. Some speculate that it is named after Zendaya.
Though the “Euphoria” star is a Louboutin loyalist, she does not have a deal with the luxury shoe brand. As a result, she does occasionally choose footwear from other bands. For the Golden Globes she wore a pair of burnt orange Louis Vuitton pumps to match her burnt orange Louis Vuitton gown. Both were custom. She’s also been spotted wearing brands like Maison Alaia. Since last year, her sneakers are often from On Running, a company that she is also the face of.
The shoes weren’t the only accessory that the “Dune” star was rocking. After she arrived on the red carpet at the Golden Globes, a diamond ring was spotted gleaming on her lefthand ring finger, which led to speculation that she and her longterm partner were engaged, which was confirmed on the Monday after the awards.
