Zendaya Gives Burnt Orange Fashion in Louis Vuitton Satin Pumps at 2025 Golden Globes
If you thought Zendaya would return to the same visual story she was telling during the “Challengers” press tour for awards season, you are wrong. The starlet turned up on the 2025 Golden Globes red carpet with short brown hair done in curls and a burnt orange dress.
Zendaya‘s look was a fashion history lesson, referencing Zelda Wynn Valdes. Valdes was a designer who is credited with designing the Playboy costume and dressed the likes of Joyce Bryant. Zendaya’s hair seemed to also be a reference to Joyce Bryant’s signature style.
For shoes, Zendaya wore a pair of custom Louis Vuitton pumps. They were made of the same burnt orange satin that the dress was made of. They feature a pointed toe and rounded vamp. The stiletto is likely about four to five inches. The shoe also appears as if the back collar rises up high providing more support.

Zendaya is a major fan of stiletto pumps. On her press tour for “Challengers,” the world woke up to her dedication to the Christian Louboutin So Kate. That shoe, which borrows it name from Kate Moss, is a slimmer and more angular style than most stiletto pumps. It is also cut to be more revealing of the foot. But Zendaya has certainly worn other styles like heels from Maison Alaia.
The fashion power player is a face of Louis Vuitton, appearing at the brand’s fashion shows and shooting campaigns. She fronted the recent campaign for the re-issue of the Takashi Murakami collaboration.
This look, and all of Zendaya’s fashion exploits, included the help of her longtime collaborator Law Roach. Roach had teased the look with photos of Bryant and Valdes’ designs on Instagram. He later posted a photo of the Vuitton shoes alongside his burnt orange ostrich leather Hermes Birkin.
Zendaya is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Musical or Comedy Motion Picture for her role in “Challengers.” For her press tour she wore a variety of tennis-inspired looks to match the theme of the film.
The 82nd Golden Globe Awards is held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025. The award ceremony celebrates excellence in the television and film industries from projects produced in 2024. Award categories include “Best Motion Picture – Non-English Language,” “Best Motion Picture – Drama,” “Cinematic and Box Office Achievement” and “Best Screenplay – Motion Picture,” among others. Notable nominees for the event include Pamela Anderson for “The Last Showgirl,” Nicole Kidman for “Babygirl,” Timothee Chalamet for “A Complete Unknown” and Denzel Washington for “Gladiator II.”
