Yung Miami is feeling the fringe on a recent episode of her podcast “Caresha, Please.” The rapper sat down with Tia Kemp for Episode Two of her show’s new season and opted for a Native American-inspired look styled by collaborator Kendrick Carter.

For the look, Miami wore a sleeveless t-shirt with a brown print across the front as well as denim Daisy Duke jean shorts. She accessorized with silver and turquoise jewelry in the form of a necklace and long, hanging belt. The combination of sterling silver and turquoise is heavily associated with Native American tribes.

The silver and turquoise of the accessories matched the embellishments on her sandals. Yung Miami’s shoes were from the Toronto-based designer Jennifer Le. They were Le’s Saddle Up style which have notably been worn by Dream Doll. Le first teased the shoes in July before putting them on sale on August 4th.

The shoes are an open-toe silhouette and feature turquoise and silver medallions across the toe band as well as up the front of the brown suede shoe. The Saddle Up is a lace up style, coming to almost knee-high on most wearers. They are still available from Jennifer Le for $529.

The design falls with an overall Western aesthetic that’s currently trending at the moment. That trend largely involves more cowboy-affiliated styles like boots, but Pharrell’s debut collection for Louis Vuitton also incorporated a greater understanding of aesthetics from the American West.

Strappy sandals are a favorite of Yung Miami — and are also trending. The rapper recently wore a white pair from Area while filming a live episode of “Caresha Please” at Revolt World. For the debut episode of the show’s season, she matched a pair of Femme strappy stiletto sandals in gold with a breezy, draped Alexander McQueen dress.
