Usha Vance danced the night away with her husband Vice President JD Vance tonight at the Commander-in-Chief Ball in Washington D.C. The couple danced alongside President Donald Trump and his wife First Lady Melania Trump.

In a move that mirrored Melania’s own, Usha popped into a pair of classic and simple black suede pumps. Although they were hard to see beneath the hem of her gown, the chosen silhouette included textural black suede uppers accompanied by sharp pointed toes and 3 to 4-inch stiletto heels. Simple in composition, the footwear choice allowed Usha’s dress to take center stage, acting as a supporting character of sorts.

Both Melania and Usha opted for suede styles for the special occasion. Both pairs were also neutral and simple, allowing their dresses the spotlight. For those looking to mimic Usha’s footwear moment for the night, brands like Manolo Blahnik, Stuart Weitzman, Sam Edelman, Gianvito Rossi and Jimmy Choo all feature comparable styles in a range of sizing options and price points.

The lawyer partnered her simple suede footwear with a bold blue sequin gown. The floor-length piece was crafted of a light blue lace fabric with deep blue sequin overlays. The garment also featured an illusive sheer bodice that made the gown appear strapless. The dazzling sequin appliques were placed in vertical strips that intersected fluidly.
