Thurman channeled classic midcentury fashion with an elegant black dress featuring an A-line silhouette. The flowing matte black skirt fell to her ankles, with the fabric contrasting the shine of the satiny black top, which was sleeveless and designed with a demure bateau neckline. Meanwhile, a belt with a subtle shimmer made a statement at the waist. To top it all off, Thurman’s dress included pockets. The actress wore a glowy makeup look and accessorized the dress with pearl-adorned stud earrings and a whimsically sinuous bracelet.

Thurman was photographed in two different Manolo Blahnik shoes throughout the night, both of which established a cohesive monochrome look. One pair was a black slingback pump which stood out with a bow-adorned Mary Jane strap across the foot; this subtle feminine touch underscored her graceful aura. This pair of shoes appeared to be crafted with suede or another non-reflective fabric.

At another point during the event, Thurman was wearing a different pair of black slingback pumps, specifically the Italian brand’s Carolyne style. Like the aforementioned pair, these shoes featured a pointed toe and an upper with a rounded outline in addition to a strap around the back of the ankle. This style took a more minimalist approach, forgoing any strap across the foot. The shoe also offered a subtle shine to pick up her glossy top.

Thurman opted for an all-black look at last year’s Room to Grow Gala as well, when she attended with her daughter Maya Hawke by her side, whom she shares with Ethan Hawke. The younger Hawke told FN earlier this year that her mother has the bigger closet between the two of them.

She jokingly said at the “Wildcat” premiere, “I mean we have different size feet. It’s a horrible, horrible curse.”

This year, Thurman attended a “Pulp Fiction” 30th anniversary reunion held in April wearing black thong sandals; Hawke, meanwhile, wore floral Prada sandals to the premiere of “Inside Out 2” in June.
