Tyra Banks Celebrates the Classics in Black Patent Leather Pumps at ‘Coyote Ugly’ 25th Anniversary Screening & Q&A

Tyra Banks attended the 25th anniversary screening and Q&A of “Coyote Ugly” benefiting Global Empowerment Mission LA Wildfire Relief Mission at Aero Theatre on Feb. 26 in Santa Monica.
The runway model took the red carpet by storm in a pair of striking and sharp black pumps. The classic pick featured glossy black patent leather uppers that transitioned into knife-like triangular toes. Arched leather soles gave way to what looked like stiletto heels that offered the tall model an extra boost.
Patent leather styles are a dime a dozen, stocked by a slew of top brands, including Jimmy Choo, Saint Laurent, Prada, Schutz, Paris Texas, Christian Louboutin and so many more. Unlike their matte counterpart, patent leather silhouettes feature a high-shine finish that draws the eye. The style is versatile and dressy, partnering well with most everything.

The “Life-Size” actress partnered her patent leather footwear with a blue and black form-fitted maxi dress. The garment featured structured shoulders and long sleeves that transitioned into gloves.
When Banks isn’t dominating campaigns and runways or hosting and judging on beloved competition shows, the star can be seen wearing a few go-to shoe styles in her free time. When it comes to shoes, Banks often has a penchant for pointed-toe pumps. The star regularly wears stiletto-heeled pairs from brands like Louboutin, Jimmy Choo and Kendall Miles. When off-duty, the “Modelland” writer also dons casual classic sneakers by top brands like Nike and Converse.
“Coyote Ugly” is a 2000s rom-com directed by David McNally. The film centers around Violet Sanford, a 21-year-old with a velvet voice who travels to New York to pursue her dream of becoming a songwriter. She finds herself getting sidetracked by her day job working as a barmaid at Coyote Ugly. The film features the talent of top stars like Tyra Banks, Piper Perabo, Maria Bello and Bridget Moynahan, among others.
