Tracee Ellis Ross made a sharp statement onstage for Hello Sunshine’s first “Shine Away” conference, held by Reese Witherspoon. The occasion, hosted in partnership with AT&T, featured a star-studded series of empowering onstage discussions and a musical performance by Dove Cameron.
For the occasion at Rolling Greens in Los Angeles on Saturday, Ross spoke onstage with Witherspoon for their “It Takes a Village (and a Great Idea!)” discussion in a pair of sharp white ankle boots. The “Blackish” star’s style featured smooth leather uppers with squared toes, which curved into thin heels totaling at least 4 inches in height.
Ross’ faintly slouchy footwear was particularly on-trend, thanks to its sculptural silhouette. Square-toed boots like the “Girlfriends” actress‘ pair have been a top shoe silhouette in the 2020’s, due to their fuller coverage and wider base. Styles have been released in a range of heights and textures this year, as seen in new collections from brands including Dries Van Noten, Charles & Keith and Vagabond Shoemakers.
Ross’ shoes also streamlined her whimsical attire for the occasion, which encompassed a red, blue and white geometric-printed top with white feathered trim — layered over matching trousers and a simple white T-shirt for a contemporary finish. The actress completed her attire with metal hoop earrings embedded with gleaming front-facing diamonds, as well as a sparkling cocktail ring, for a dash of added glamour.
Ross is known for her bold fashion statements on and off the red carpet. An avid fashion collector and fan, the actress can regularly be seen in current and vintage looks from top fashion brands like Balenciaga, Chanel, Christopher John Rogers and more. She’s also a style chameleon when it comes to shoes, wearing a range of pumps, sandals and boots from labels like Versace, Andrea Wazen and Gucci, among other top brands.
