Tinashe Chooses Crystal-Embellished Alexandre Vauthier Black Pump Shoes for New Year’s Eve Performance
Tinashe was a glamorous “Nasty Girl” for New Year’s Eve. The musician performed during the Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve celebration. For the appearance the star chose a crystal-embellished blazer-inspired look. The look sported opera gloves instead of sleeves. She also wore a white button down shirt with a silver tie.
For shoes, Tinashe wore a pair of black satin pumps. The shoes were Alexandre Vauthier‘s Michelle style. They are a fairly classic silhouette with a sharply pointed toe as well as a stiletto heel of about four inches. The lionshare of the shoe is made of satin but the heel is not wrapped.
The detail of note is the toe which is entirely crystal studded. The studs go from the vamp of the shoe all the way to the tip. It provides an elegant and glamorous spin on a classic style. This specific style does not appear to be for sale any longer though Alexandre Vauthier does make other crystal embellished pumps.

Stiletto pumps are amongst the most classic and most versatile of heel silhouettes. They can be worn with jeans or sweatpants or even dressed up, as in the case of Tinashe’s, with crystal embellishments for glamorous events. The black stiletto pump is widely viewed as a cornerstone of women’s shoe closets.
For 2024, the white stiletto pump got a lot of traction as well as attention. Though white pumps are classics, Zendaya pushed them to the forefront of footwear conversations on her tour for “Challengers.” During that press run, she wore a series of white stiletto pumps, most of which were Christian Louboutin’s So Kate. The appearances helped make the So Kate one of the biggest celebrity footwear trends of 2024.
Tinashe was one of a series of performers and hosts at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. Rita Ora hosted on the east coast wearing a series of boots. This included a pair of slouchy Isabel Marant boots as well as a platform Bottega Venta style. Jeannie Mai Jenkins was a host on the west coast in a pair of pink open-toe mules from Bettina Vermillon. Carrie Underwood performed on the west coast and for that, similar to Tinashe, she went crystal-embellished. Instead of pumps she wore cowboy boots.
