Tiffany Haddish is still having fun with fashion. The comic attended the Fashion Trust U.S. award ceremony earlier this month. There, she wore the young the designer Grace Ling while supporting the emerging designers up to be honored. This week, the “Girls Trip” star was back on the fashion scene at the 29th Annual Fashion Group International Awards where she hosted the ceremony.
While doing her duties, Haddish wore a backless gown from designer Cyril Verdavainne. It featured a halter top and shimmering fabric. While on the red carpet, Haddish twirled, making the skirt of the dress fly up into the air revealing her shoes.
On foot, the comic chose a pair of patent leather Giuseppe Zanotti Tarifa sandals. The shoes feature an open toe. In addition, they have a slingback-style strap as well as a connecting ankle strap that is secured with a buckle. Most notably, the style has a thick, platform style. This is matched with a chunky block heel. Combined, this raises the shoe about 6.7 inches. The platform itself is about 2.5 inches of that.
Giuseppe Zanotti has offered the Tarifa in all-black patent leather in multiple versions. One had a patent leather platform and another had a flocked-effect bottom. The company does not seem to be currently offering either.
In the place of those, the Tarifa is offered in all-pink or all-blue. The current black version includes a patent leather upper, and suede-effect base that has been embroidered with crystals. That Tarifa Jewel is $675.
Haddish has owned the sandals for some time. She was wearing them in 2023 to a Los Angeles premiere for the premiere of “Air.” At the time, she paired the tall heels with a sequined minidress. That look put more emphasis on the glossy shoes.
When she attended the Fashion Trust U.S. event, Haddish also went glossy. She wore a pair of glossy pointed-toe pumps. It’s unclear which brand created them.
