Tia Mowry hosted a tastemaker event for her new show “Tia Mowry: My Next Act” yesterday in Hollywood. Many of Mowry’s friends and family attended the affair.
Shining bright, the “Tia & Tamera” star flattered her feet in a pair of Amina Muaddi Gilda Glass sandals. Retailing for $1,170 via the brand’s website, the shoe pick featured transparent PVC uppers that transitioned into a thin strappy construction fixed with high-shine crystalized detailing. Said straps sat across the tops of Mowry’s feet and around her ankles, threaded through adjustable buckle closures.
Open square toes and sculptural 3.7-inch plexi heels rounded out the set. Muaddi’s footwear creations tend to include a signature diamond-shaped heel, the design detail making any one of Muaddi’s inventive silhouettes instantly recognizable. The clear heel creates an illusive look that makes the wearer look like they’re floating. Stuart Weitzman, Aquazzura, Asos, Jimmy Choo and Giuseppe Zanotti all feature styles that are comparable to Mowry’s own.
On the outfit front, the “Seventeen Again” actress wore a sequined set mirroring the shiny detailing of her footwear. The two-piece was comprised of a long-sleeve turtleneck top and a matching maxi skirt with a slit up the side. Both the top and bottom were crafted of a white sequin fabric.
Mowry’s shoe styles range from sleek to whimsical. The actress often wears strappy sandals, pumps and platform heels for everyday occasions or nights out — often from top brands including Versace, Stuart Weitzman and Christian Louboutin, plus affordable labels like Steve Madden and Topshop. Aside from heels, she’s also been spotted in Aperlai boots and Nike sneakers while off-duty over the years.
“Tia Mowry: My Next Act” is a new reality show available via Philo that follows Mowry, post-divorce as she navigates motherhood and her busy life while experiencing independence after working closely with her sister. The show’s first episode aired on Oct. 4.
