Meagan Good celebrated the premiere of her new film “Terry McMillan Presents: Forever” in Los Angeles last night alongside co-star Taye Diggs, pairing a black minidress from Nookie with patent leather platform pumps by Jonak Paris.

Good opted for a dress from the Australian brand Nookie, which offers an array of going out dresses like the one pictured above. This particular LBD included sparkling trim along the bustier which wrapped around the neck in a halter style. The dress also featured transparent mesh material around the bust which created an illusion of Good wearing separate garments.
The actress complemented the dress with a pair of glossy platform pumps by Jonak Paris, which feature a rounded toe and a tall block heel. As seen on red carpets, platform pumps remain a dominant trend in women’s fashion — Salma Hayek will often wear a Gucci pair and Joey King recently wore a strikingly similar pair to Good’s, though hers hailed from Le Silla.

Held at the DGA Theater Complex, additional guests at the premiere of “Terry McMillan Presents: Forever” included Good’s boyfriend Jonathan Majors, media personality and lawyer Rachel Lindsay of “The Bachelorette,” as well as former *NSYNC member JC Chasez. See below for the shoes worn by Diggs, Majors, Lindsay, Chasez and more guests at the event.
Leaving his formal shoes at home, Taye Diggs coordinated the blue lapel tucked in his lavender suit to a pair of blue Converse sneakers. Like Vice President Kamala Harris, Diggs is a fan of the enduring sneaker brand known for its canvas upper, cap toe and All Star branding. He wore a striped shirt under his blazer and topped it all off with a wide-brimmed hat.
Supporting his girlfriend’s new movie, Jonathan Majors wore a colorful matching ensemble with a captivating gold and blue print, with a light blue necktie and a pair of brown dress shoes. The lace-up shoes coordinated with his matching set, which blended hues of blue, yellow and red.
JC Chasez brought out a fun shoe look to the premiere with black loafers featuring a cow print pattern, adding a splash of whimsy to an-all black ensemble. His girlfriend Jennifer HuYoung, meanwhile, wore heels with a pointed sole and transparent strap to accompany a floral dress.
Rachel Lindsay went for an elegant minimalistic look with heeled sandals featuring a thin strap across the toe and another around the ankle. The shoes picked up the black belt at the center of her preppy beige outfit.
Natasha Marc matched a brown leather ensemble with shiny Nike sneakers in the same earthy shade. She offset the monochrome aesthetic with a gray blazer and silver jewelry.
Thomasina Gross opted for a sequined green dress and scarf, which she complemented with gold heeled, square-toed sandals.
Lucy Clawson wore a pair of black pointed shoes designed with a subtle pattern and bow adornments on the side, accompanying a fitted lacy dress.
The premiere took place ahead of the film’s debut on Lifetime on Aug. 24. From executive producer Terry McMillan (author of popular books-turned-movies like “Waiting to Exhale”), Diggs stars as a veteran who falls in love with a policewoman and mother of three, played by Good.
