Taraji P. Henson is making her way around Paris supporting the Olympic athletes of her home country. The actress was in attendance at Team USA House, located at Palais Brongniart, to attend an Aug. 5 event for the men’s and women’s basketball teams. Henson posed on the red carpet in a lacy black ensemble paired with Givenchy’s Shark Lock stiletto sandal boots in 4G mesh.
The “Color Purple” star elected to wear an all-black outfit consisting of a black blazer with lace detailing and sheer sleeves. This was paired with a matching mini skirt (or shorts), which reached her upper thigh just the same as her jacket did. Henson went without a traditional shirt for the event, instead wearing a black bralette which was visible underneath her blazer. She added sparkle to the look with layers of glittering chunky necklaces, including one with a nameplate pendant reading “Taraji.” Posing in bright sunlight, Henson also wore a pair of oversized sunglasses with pointed frames.

Henson matched her outfit to Givenchy’s Shark Lock Stiletto sandal boots in 4G mesh. The shoes include an open-toe design and a 3.8 inch heel. The shoe’s vamp and cylindrical mesh cover both feature a pattern of the brand’s 4G logo. The logo is also displayed on the padlock, which is gold-hued and covered in black leather. The $1750 shoes certainly aligned with Henson’s apparel, with both her clothing and shoes featuring a transparent element.
Givenchy’s Shark Lock collection is extensive, featuring a myriad of styles with the silhouette’s signature cylindrical shaft which partially covers the shoe’s upper. The shoes are available in a range of lengths, colors and patterns, with materials ranging from mesh to suede to leather to denim. As the name suggests, each shoe comes with an interchangeable lock at the top of the boot, which comes in different hues depending on the style.
The Shark Lock style is trending on the celebrity circuit as of late. Ice Spice recently wore an off-white leather version of the shoe while performing at Wireless Festival in London this summer. Remy Ma, meanwhile, took the stage in a black leather version at the Hip Hop 50 Live concert at Yankee Stadium in 2023.
