Sydney Sweeney brought a burst of sparkle to New York City for the premiere of her latest film, “Anyone But You.” The romantic comedy, which Sweeney stars in with Glen Powell, Darren Barnet and Alexandra Shipp, will arrive in theaters on Dec. 22.
For the movie’s New York premiere at AMC Lincoln Square Theater, Sweeney hit the red carpet in a set of gleaming silver sandals. The actress’ sleek pair featured a metallic base with thin stiletto heels, elevated by clear asymmetric front straps; each was trimmed with sparkling crystals for a bejeweled finish.
Sweeney’s footwear strongly leaned into the rising trend of sheer shoes — which feature mesh, tulle or entirely clear detailing across pumps, sandals, boots and more. Numerous brands have embraced the daring accents across their footwear this year, including Stuart Weitzman, Saint Laurent and Gucci; others have held the detail as a longtime brand hallmark, as seen in core styles by Dior and Piferi — as well as emerging labels like Britt Netta.
The high-shine heels added a flair to Sweeney’s premiere attire: a custom sheer dress by Miu Miu, which was coated in an array of gleaming crystals for a moment of dynamic glamour. Stylist Molly Dickson completed the star’s look with a black leather belt for a rebellious edge, while diamond and onyx jewelry by Fred Leighton complemented Sweeney’s ensemble with an elegant finish.
Sweeney’s bejeweled ensemble notably marked her fifth outfit in under 24 hours while promoting “Anyone But You” across New York City. During the film’s press tour, the actress has donned an array of ensembles, ranging from denim and suiting to sweet monochrome dresses. For a dynamic twist, all have been paired with an equally wide variety of shoes, from satin Aquazzura pumps to glossy Schiaparelli boots.
Sparkle this season in silver sandals.
