Snoop Dogg sat down for an interview with host Jennifer Hudson on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” today alongside his daughter Cori Broadus. The musician spoke about his time on “The Voice,” his unforgettable experience at the Olympics and riding horses with his pal Martha Stewart.
The “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper’s interview attire included a casual pair of white and black sneakers hailing from his collaboration with Skechers. The Slip-ins style titled the Snoop One Boss Life Canvas retails for $90 via the brand’s website and includes a canvas construction in a hands-free slip-on style. The low-top silhouette marries all the swagger of Snoop Dogg with Skechers’ comfort.
Key features of the sneaker include cushy heel pillows that secure the wearer’s foot in place, Skechers’ breathable air-cooled memory foam insoles that cradle the feet and flexible traction outsoles that allow for a wide range of movement. Black laces give way to Skechers branding and elevated soles standing at 1 and 1/4 inches in height.
Matching his footwear, the performer donned black slacks, a black t-shirt and a white and black plaid jacket. The choice of outerwear was slightly boxy and included ample pocket space.
A pioneer of G-funk gangsta rap, Snoop, otherwise known as Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr., is a legend in his field. The rapper is, for many, the epitome of West Coast hip-hop culture. This title is well-documented in his street-style-inspired looks and penchant for vibrant sneakers.
Throughout his career, the performer has regularly laced up unique sneakers in a range of silhouettes and styles both on and off the red carpet, hailing from brands including Converse, Adidas, Nike and Skechers — with whom he collaborated on a sneaker capsule collection. For especially formal occasions, however, the “Doggystyle” rapper often laces into brogues and wingtip shoes from brands including Stacy Adams.
