“Bridgerton” actress Simone Ashley went dark for the end of the Cannes Film Festival.
The performer has been in France at the lauded annual event hitting red carpets and events like the Lights on Women Award ceremony. Her appearance there was, in part, to announce that she has “joined the L’Oreal Paris family” as she wrote on Instagram.
To close out the festivities, the star selected a pair of black suede stiletto pumps from Jimmy Choo on Saturday.
She was seen in multiple looks on Friday. This included animal print dress matched with Ilio Smeraldo Party mules. The open toe style featured a dainty, narrow heel. Later on, she was spotted in a chrome sandal featuring a toe strap and ankle fastening.
On Saturday, she wore a ruched black Stella McCartney dress with a long train matched with black suede Jimmy Choo shoes and was styled by Rebecca Corbin-Murray. The pumps are Jimmy Choo’s Romy style. To complement the look she also wore a necklace and earrings from Chaumet.

The Jimmy Choo Romy pumps feature a soft pointed toe and a stiletto heel of just over three inches. The classic style also includes a leather lining and sole. The black classic stiletto pump is one of the most versatile women’s shoes, able to be dressed up for the closing ceremony at Cannes Film Festival or worn with jeans and a T-shirt. The stiletto pump is thought to have been initially introduced Roger Vivier. That style was released in 1954.
The Romy is a celeb favorite. Kate Middleton has counted as a fan — which speaks to the staying power of the label as Diana, Princess of Wales, was one of the first major names to wear Jimmy Choo in 1996. Others like Ariana Grande, Marsai Martin and Meghan Markle have been spotted in the Romy.
