Simone Ashley arrived at Hotel Martinez in Cannes, France on May 24 wearing a Dolce & Gabbana animal print dress with a pair of open-toed black high heels.
The British actress, who stars as Kate Sharma in Shonda Rhimes’ massive “Bridgerton” series on Netflix, was in the south of France amid the 77th Cannes Film Festival. Her short fitted dress from Dolce & Gabbana reached mid-thigh and featured a vibrant pattern that stood out on the Croisette. Cinching at the waist, the black and brown dress was adorned with a print reminiscent of a leopard or cheetah coat. A black sweetheart neckline peeked out above the bust, connected to thin black straps.
For her footwear, Ashley slid into a pair of Party Mules by Ilio Smeraldo. The open-back and open-toed heels covered just a portion of her feet; the stilettos were set off with a dainty narrow heel that stood between an estimated 3 to 5 inches.

The “Bridgerton” star, who returns for Season 3 of the romance series opposite Jonathan Bailey, accessorized the look with a black Prada Cleo bag slung over her shoulder. Her hair was pulled back into a casual ponytail as she wore a pair of black sunglasses to tie everything together — and protect herself from the Mediterranean sun.
Before jetting off to Cannes, Ashley was recently spotted lighting up New York City at the “Bridgerton” premiere wearing a strapless silver Prada dress made up of dangling strands of glittering beads. She wore reflective silver heels and a silver purse to match.
Ashley has been recognized for her personal style for some time now. At the 2023 Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in New Jersey’s Liberty State Park, the up-and-coming actress wore a short chartreuse dress fitting for the summer event, and completed the look with brown studded sandals.
Meanwhile, Ashley’s “Bridgerton” co-stars Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan — who take the spotlight this season as their characters’ slow burn romance unfolds — have been making striking fashion statements throughout their recent press tour. At the Season 3 premiere, Coughlan wore black satin Malone Souliers heeled sandals to match an elegant black dress.
