Shaquille O’Neal made a case for sneakers at a black-tie event.
The former basketball star attended his foundation’s latest soiree. Hosted by Joel McHale, the event took place on Saturday night in Las Vegas.
For the star-studded evening, O’Neal slipped into a pair of Reebok sneakers. His Classic Leather Shoes were covered in a black leather material and featured black laces and a black sole. The athlete tends to reach for more casual styles when it comes to his footwear, often wearing lace-up sneakers in either a contemporary or athletic silhouette.
O’Neal paired his athletic shoes with a more formal outfit. He donned a silver jacket with a chrome print covering the garment. The jacket featured a black lapel and a single-button closure. He added a white button-down shirt underneath and added a black and white bow tie. O’Neal wore black dress pants and accessorized further with clear framed glasses.

The third annual fundraising gala featured a private dinner and live auction followed by a star-studded public concert with performances from Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Dan + Shay and more. The Shaquille O’Neal Foundation creates opportunities for underserved youth, with initiatives like bringing youth sports complexes and annual events such as Shaq-to-School, a program that provides basic school supplies to children with socioeconomic challenges.
Besides his philanthropic endeavors, the former basketball player is also a successful businessman. O’Neal is the second-largest individual shareholder of Authentic Brands Group, the company behind brand and retailer acquisitions including Forever 21, Barneys New York, JCPenney, Reebok, Vince and Hunter Boots.
