Shaboozey was committed to a fun night at the 2024 Country Music Awards. The performer whose hit “A Bar Song” has been taking over airwaves all year, hit the red carpet at the event wearing a bright green custom suit.

The musician was nominated for six awards at the event and wore his name on his back in case anyone forgot it. His suit included crystal embroidery throughout as well as imagery of roses in a bed of thorns.

For shoes, the crystal embellishments kept on. Instead of wearing a pair of traditional cowboy boots as might be expected (and as he typically wears,) Shaboozey chose a pair of custom Crocs Classic Cowboy Boot. The comfortable shoe was done in black. True to the classic Croc, it has holes throughout. But to make it red carpet appropriate, the shoe has been customized by Freak City LA: it is covered in black crystals, some of which sparkle in the light. Shaboozey has been a longtime fan of the brand and has been spotted wearing them with his casual, everyday outfits.

Crocs are seen largely for their comfort but have been elevated to a fashion item in recent years through a series of collaborations with brands like Balenciaga. More recently, the brand collaborated with popular shoe designer Salehe Bembury.

Shaboozey was styled by Anastasia Walker, who he has been working with recently. A fan of eyecatching styles, for shoes he’s often wearing boots. Recently for the GQ Men of the Year event he wore a pair of custom metal-tipped boots from the company Rocket Buster boots. That label is based in El Paso, Texas.

For the Video Music Awards this year, he wore a pair of Tabi style Maison Margiela boots. The Beyonce collaborator is also a face of YSL Beauty.

The 2024 CMA Awards is broadcast live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. The night, which celebrates the best, brightest and most talented in country music is hosted by Luke Bryan, Peyton Manning, and Lainey Wilson. The night’s nominations are led by Morgan Wallen with seven CMA Award nominations. Presenters include Katharine McPhee, Simone Biles, Jeff Bridges and more.
