Serena Williams harnessed February’s romantic reign by modeling the S by Serena Sol Maxi Dress in black yesterday, as seen on her Instagram.

The dress featured heart-shaped dots printed throughout the dress’s mesh sleeves, a side slit and cutout detailing.

The round-neck long-sleeve number kept the cutout detailing interesting; each slit, with one at the waist and above the right shoulder, had sheer mesh contrasting its fabric. Below the slit at the waist, the bodycon dress ruched down the leg.

Williams gave the look an edge with a silver link necklace chain rounding out in unison with the dress’s neckline.

Modeling the ensemble, Williams posed on a cobblestone road with a pair of pointed-toe pumps by Christian Louboutin. The sandal featured a narrow black heel between 3 and 4 inches high. On the third photo of three in her Instagram montage, she gave a side profile view of the sandal highlighting its arched silhouette.

Compared to Williams’ sneaker rotation, she keeps it simple with her selection of high heels. More often than not, she’ll opt for a pointed-toe vamp, whether enclosed or in PVC style. And if she does go with sneakers, Williams will step out in a variety of Nike selections; her most recent standout pair were the Off-White x Air Rubber Dunk in ‘Green Strike’ sneaker she wore on Feb. 17. The fashion entrepreneur even made quarter-high black Nike socks look chic with a two-piece plaid-print cropped blazer and miniskirt.
