To debut her new docuseries, Serena Williams decided to stand a little taller. The world-renowned tennis player attended the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of her new show, “In the Arena: Serena Williams,” in a head-to-toe Dolce & Gabanna look. Styled by Lyndrea Price, the ensemble included a pair of satin platform heels.
In the new project, the athlete reflects on pivotal moments in her career. The show spans eight episodes.
The 23-time Grand Slam winner turned up at the BMCC Theater wearing a pink tulle halter dress featuring a slit and a satin corset. She paired it with a string of pearls that included a pink gem.
The look notably included a pair of pink heels from Dolce & Gabbana. The fabrication matched the corset as well as a small Marlene clutch that the star carried from the label.
The shoes feature an open toe, a thick platform and a chunky box heel. They also include a thin ankle strap secured with a small ankle buckle.
Dolce & Gabbana has become a go-to for celebrities since being founded by Domencio Dolce and Stefano Gabbana in 1982. The company is regarded for its deep Italian roots and is a staple of global fashion. The company is renowned for its atelier work, often creating custom designs for red carpets and other special events. This is all underscored in the brand’s Alta Moda show which poses as an Italian answer of sorts to the haute couture presentations in Paris.
Fans include the likes of Fran Drescher, Kim Kardashian, Elizabeth Hurley and many more.
Though Williams can often be seen in sneakers and other flat styles from Nike, with whom she has a partnership, she often opts for higher-heeled styles on red carpets from brands like D&G and Christian Louboutin.
