Did Serena Williams just debut a new A Ma Maniére x Converse collaboration?
The tennis icon made an appearance during rap megastar Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show performance at Super Bowl 2025. On foot, Williams had on a pair of blue Converse Chuck 70s. However, upon closer look, A Ma Maniére branding appeared on the shoe’s left tongue and Nike branding was on the right, and Swoosh branding was added to the lateral sides of each shoe. This is reminiscent of the retailer’s previous “While You Were Sleeping” collaboration on the iconic silhouette.

Serena Williams appeared during Kendrick Lamar’s halftime performance at Super Bowl LIX in a pair of blue monochromatic Converse Chuck 70 sneakers.
Dancing to Lamar’s hit song “Not Like Us,” the sports legend appeared in the brand’s iconic Chuck Taylor All Star shoes in a blue shade that matched her outfit. Crafted with canvas material in the upper and a durable rubber outsole, the shoes are a comfortable stylish option, typically accompanied by laces designed in white.
The shoes also incorporate medial eyelets for breathability, making them a comfortable choice to walk and dance in. A typical pair of All Stars retail for $65, with the silhouette coming in over 15 colors.
The shoes served as a compliment to her outfit, which consisted of a dark blue tennis skirt, and a white top underneath a matching dark blue jacket.
Converse was founded circa 1908 by Marquis Mills Converse. Then known as the Converse Rubber Shoe Company, the brand quickly developed a strong name and reputation for themselves in the world of footwear, apparel and accessories. The All Star Classics are regarded as the brand’s most iconic model, boosting a high-profile design with instant recognition and a durable build that lasts for a long time. Converse has been a subsidiary of Nike since 2003.
Williams has had tons of noteworthy footwear moments over the years. The tennis superstar has also been a long-time partner of Nike since signing with them in 2003.
When not wearing sneakers from Nike and Jordan Brand, you can typically find her in a range of strappy sandals and pumps for formal events. A recent example is her appearance at Thom Browne’s fall 2025 haute couture show in late 2024, where she was seen in a pair of black oxford-inspired heels from the brand. Made with leather material, the shoes included shiny black leather uppers, thin lace-up closures and short curved heels measuring between 3-to-4 inches in height.
Super Bowl LIX features a rematch between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs. The game will take place at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, and will feature Kendrick Lamar as the halftime performer.
