Selena Gomez is still expanding her empire. Fresh off of a press tour and awards circuit for the film “Emilia Perez” and new album “I Said I Love You First,” she’s back to focusing on her entrepreneurial pursuits. The mogul is now launching her fourth Rare Beauty blush with the Soft Pinch Matte Bouncy Blush.
To head out for a promotional event at the Corner Store in New York’s SoHo neighborhood, and took place on March 26, Gomez chose an all red look. She wore Magda Butrym by way of a 3-D floral mini skirt, turtleneck and oversized blazer. She paired the look with a bold red lip.
For shoes, Gomez chose a classic. The actress wore a pair of Manolo Blahnik BB pumps in red. The shoes get their name from their inspiration: Bridget Bardot. With an upper made of suede, they are are a fairly typical pump stiletto. They feature a pointed toe and a vamp that cuts straight across the foot. The stiletto is just over four inches and the shoe covers all of edges of the foot. It is also a single sole style. While the shoe is a go-to, the bright red hue made Gomez’s ensemble pop even more.
Manolo Blahnik BB heel is currently sold for $825.
Blahnik’s BB pump is one of the more famous pump styles. Other brands also sell classic styles like the Jimmy Choo Love pump as well as the Christian Louboutin Kate pump. Louboutin also has its So Kate which is the Kate style in a taller iteration. This year, the brand introduced its Miss Z pump which is a more angular take on the design.
Manolo Blahnik renders the BB pump in a variety of colors and fabrications. Recently, Millie Bobby Brown wore it in a white python to appear on “The Drew Barrymore” show. The shoes were paired with an all white look. Meghan Markle is also a noted fan of the style. The BB heel was first introduced in 2008. This came 37 years after Blahnik designed his first shoe. He opened his first store in 1983.
Gomez has also worn the BB pointed-toe heel before. She wore a beige version at another Rare Beauty event last year.
