Sarah Jessica Parker Sports Updated Black Mary Jane Pumps While Filming ‘And Just Like That’ in New York

Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted arriving on set for the filming of “And Just Like That” on Friday in New York.
For her romp in the city, Parker donned a pair of Mary Jane-inspired heels. The fashionable thespian’s footwear featured black glossy leather uppers, pointed triangular toes, 2 to 3-inch stiletto heels and straps that sat across the tops of her feet. Said straps featured bedazzled detailing in jewel tones, updating the all-black silhouette.
The Mary Jane silhouette has become a fixture of the fashion and footwear industries within the last few years, thanks in part to brands like Maison Margiela and Miu Miu. While the style is enjoying popularity at the moment, Mary Janes have been around since 1904. The silhouette is classic. Parker’s pair elevated the classic silhouette, giving it height and drama. “Failure to Launch” actress often opts for t-strap sandals and pointed-toe pumps both on and off the red carpet.
Clad in neutrals, Parker wore a black denim button-up top that sat off-the-shoulders. The denim was partnered with 2000s-inspired capris in a khaki color with lace-up detailing on the sides. Capris are a hot item in fashion at the moment, having a resurgence much like Mary Janes. The trouser style imparts a summery nostalgic vibe.

“And Just Like That” is a spin-off of Max’s hit franchise “Sex and the City.” Released in 2021, “And Just Like That” features a nearly identical cast to the show’s original main players including Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays the ever-fashionable Carrie Bradshaw, Cynthia Nixon, who depicts Miranda Hobbes and Kristin Davis, who depicts Charlotte York.
New additions to the show include Sara Ramirez’s polarizing portrayal of Che Diaz and Nicole Ari Parker’s Lisa Todd Wexley. Both the original and rebooted series are hallowed for their witty banter and epic on-screen fashion moments.
