Her progression included a pair of black sandals with a detailed front by Alexander McQueen in 2006, matched with a tartan gown, and buckled shoes from her SJP Collection in 2016, worn over an all-white outfit. The Met Gala raises funds for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and celebrates the Costume Institute’s annual exhibits.
