Sarah Jessica Parker was shimmering for the closing night of the Red Sea International Film Festival. The actress wore a sequined long-sleeve gown of silver and gold. The bottom of it was fringe. She went minimal on her makeup with her hair done in waves.
For shoes, Parker slid into a pair of Gianvito Rossi Portofino sandals. The shoe features a heel of four inches. It is minimal, made of leather featuring a toe strap and an ankle strap. The ankle strap includes a circle buckle.
Parker has worn the Portofino sandal in other colors this season. When she was at NYC Ballet’s Fall Fashion Gala she wore the heel in silver. She paired it with an off-the-shoulder silver dress to mingle with the likes of Brooke Shields, Nicole Ari Parker, Andy Cohen and more. Following that, just yesterday she was in the shoe again. Heading to an event for the Red Sea International Film Festival, she wore all purple including a below-the-knee dress and a purple Portofino.
It’s quite fitting that she’s enamored with the style this year: in April, Gianvito Rossi celebrated the 10th anniversary of the shoe’s introduction. To commemorate the moment the company dropped a limited-edition collection featuring the style in 10 metallic colors. That celebration may have ushered in a landmark year: Venus Williams wore a silver pair of Portofino sandals to the Met Gala after parties in May and then Paige Butcher wore the shoe to the Los Angeles premiere of “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.”
“The Portofino sandal embodies the essence of my vision: beauty in simplicity and quality, as well as in the attention to proportions. Its design is conceived to enhance a woman’s silhouette rather than prevail over her,” Rossi has said of the sandal. “After 10 years, our customers keep looking for it: I like to think that its lines have somehow got out of time to stay, becoming a cherished object women can always have within reach in their wardrobe.”
