Sarah Jessica Parker became the perfect John Galliano muse of sorts, channeling classic Carrie Bradshaw while on the set of “And Just Like That…” last night. While filming in New York City’s West Village, Parker as Bradshaw wore an oversized cardigan over a sculptural vintage dress and eye-catching slingback stilettos.
The look itself brought to mind John Galliano’s viral Maison Margiela artisanal collection which went viral earlier this year. It included models in precious, corseted dresses that had thrown often moth eaten and fuzzy cardigans over them. In the show they appeared clutching themselves, stumbling along the runway.
Kim Kardashian notably recreated this at the Met Gala in a custom look by the brand. Bradshaw is the embodiment of it here, though the dress is a vintage piece from Dolce & Gabbana’s spring 2009 collection. Overit is an oversized, slouchy cardigan. This tracks with Galliano’s story of the knitwear having been taken from a lover while running out the next morning.

For shoes, a pair of simple purple heels were the key. The shoes are from Aquazzura. They are the brand’s So Nude heel. From the front, that paired back sandal lengthens the leg as it is held in place by a thin strap across the ball of the foot. The effect makes them almost naked.
The silhouette also includes a minimal slingback strap across the back as well atop a heel of just over four inches.
Aquazzura sells other colors of the So Nude barely-there sandal for $750.
The slingback silhouette has been trending all year. Celebrities have been wearing options from brands like Chanel, who is often credited with innovating the style, as well as Saint Laurent and Gucci. They were notably also a trend at Cannes Film Festival in May. Amongst the stars to wear the style during Cannes was jury president Greta Gerwig who wore a pair from Christian Louboutin to close the event.
Parker’s castmates were also filming for the same scene, all in purple shoes.
Cynthia Nixon notably wore a pair of Jimmy Choo platform sandals. The shoe features a multicolor metallic heel as well as platform. The shoe hails from the brand’s resort 2017 collection.
Kristin Davis also appeared in the scene. She wore a pair of simple purple suede pumps. The pointed-toe stiletto shoes came from Christian Louboutin and sported the brand’s signature red soles.
