Salma Hayek was in attendance at the European premiere of Zoë Kravitz‘s feature directorial debut “Blink Twice” on Aug. 19 in London, shining on the red carpet in a black dress and silver platform sandals from Gucci.
Putting her own spin on the classic LBD, Hayek wore a fitted knee-length dress with a horizontal neckline and thin straps. Underneath the neckline was a thin and shiny trim serving as a dainty accent on the simple dress. While the design of the garment proved less can be more, Hayek added extra glamour to her premiere look with glittering accessories, including a diamond necklace, a number of rings and bracelets, and a sparkling silver purse from Balenciaga.
The 5-foot-2 actress coordinated her footwear with her accessories, standing taller than usual in a pair of sky-high silver platform sandals from Gucci. The shoes featured a curved strap across the toes and a strap in the back securing the foot in place. There were also straps on the side of the foot that connected to the ankle strap. In addition to the substantial platform in front, the sole curved upward dramatically, leading to a soaring block heel measuring several inches. The shiny metallic shoes not only picked up her accessories but boldly stood out against her simple but elegant black dress.
Hayek has shown her love of Gucci platforms in the past, having worn a similar style in black when she attended a Gucci party in Los Angeles this summer co-hosted by Miley Cyrus. A strong supporter of Gucci’s parent company Kering, for which her husband François-Henri Pinault serves as CEO, she sat beside him and Paul Mescal at the Gucci Cruise 2025 show earlier this year. For that occasion, she wore an extremely similar silver style that seemed to be crafted with more of a mirror-like reflective material than the pair she wore to see “Blink Twice.”
Meanwhile, Kravitz attended her film’s European premiere in a red dress and slingback pumps from Saint Laurent. “Blink Twice,” set to release in theaters Aug. 23, already had its United States premiere, where Alicia Keys was present in pointed black boots.
