Sabrina Carpenter brought the heat to the streets of New York City last night in a sleek black and white ensemble complete with furry mules. The singer arrived at the Paris Theater in Manhattan to celebrate the release of her Netflix Christmas special “A Nonsense Christmas,” which arrives on the streaming platform on Dec. 6.

The “Bed Chem” singer stepped out in style, donning a pair of striking KandeeShoes mules. These weren’t just any mules; they were crafted from luxurious black velvet, contrasted by a band of faux mink fur across the toe box.

The attention to detail: a leather outer-sole ensured durability, while the exaggerated pointed toe and pencil-thin 5-inch heel added a touch of drama. The slip-on mule style exuded a sense of effortless elegance. Each pair was meticulously handcrafted, a testament to the brand’s commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

Mules are a type of shoe defined by their open-back design, lacking any heel strap or constraint. Typically, people envision mules as closed-toe shoes, but they also come in open-toe versions featuring a thick strap across the foot’s top.

Originally, mules were introduced as bedroom slippers in the 17th century. They gained popularity in the French court, becoming a fashion staple among wealthy women. In the 1950s, mules resurged, with iconic figures like Marilyn Monroe favoring the style, particularly the newer open-toe design.

More recently, mules experienced a revival in the 2010s, permeating various fashion scenes. The style offers versatility in heel heights; closed-toe mules often have flat soles, while open-toe variations frequently feature high heels.

On top, she wore a black and white furry jacket and a matching skirt. Her blonde tresses were styled away from her face leaving space for her vibrant red lipstick.

Sabrina Carpenter is a fashion icon on the rise, frequently appearing on best-dressed lists and attending high-profile fashion shows for brands such as Giambattista Valli, Michael Kors, Coach, and Elie Saab. Her shoe collection is both stylish and playful, featuring a range of platform pumps, sandals, and boots with sky-high heels from designers like Valentino, Stuart Weitzman, and Naked Wolfe. When she’s off-duty, Carpenter opts for a more casual look with sneakers from brands like Converse, Nike, and Alexander McQueen. The “Short n Sweet” singer’s unique blend of high-fashion and streetwear has solidified her status as a trendsetter in the industry.
