Sabrina Carpenter held onto her love for platform heels ahead of the Met Gala on Saturday in New York. The singer crashed Quinta Brunson’s “Saturday Night Live” monologue in addition to hitting Moda Operandi’s pre-Met Gala cocktail.
For the cocktail, Sabrina Carpenter went for Versace, a brand she has modeled for. She wore a baby blue shimmering dress featuring a thigh-high slit. The design included a gold safety pin at the hip.
For footwear, Carpenter stuck with height: she wore a pair of Christian Louboutin Loubi Queen Alta heels. The footwear is a sandal silhouette featuring a strap across toes. In addition, there’s a thin slingback-style strap and another thin ankle-strap affixed with a small buckle. The sandal includes a pin-thin stiletto heel that measures nearly 6 inches tall.
Christian Louboutin sells its Loubi Queen Alta heel for $1,095.
This isn’t the first time the “Espresso” singer has worn the Louboutin Loubi Queen Alta. When she attended “SNL50: The Anniversary Special,” she wore another Versace dress in addition to the tall sandal. Others like Heidi Klum have also worn them. Klum wore the sandal while in New York City in April working on the next season of “Project Runway.”
Carpenter often chooses super-tall styles. While this has included the Loubi Queen, she’s also reached for styles from brands like Kandee and Giuseppe Zanotti. She notably wore a pair of 7-inch platform mules from Kandee in a video promoting her Vogue cover.
