Rumer Willis was spotted walking through New York City on Wednesday in a pair of whimsical shoes from Melissa. The star donned the brand’s Possession fisherman-inspired jelly sandals.
Worn by Willis in a pastel purple colorway, the 90s-themed woven sandals are crafted from 100% PVC. Additionally, the translucent shoes feature a rounded-toe silhouette, adjustable buckle closure and bubblegum scent.
As for the rest of the star’s look, Willis was photographed in Christy Dawn’s The Katrina dress in the brand’s Noir Daisy block print. Designed with a smocked bodice, puff sleeves and slightly gathered skirt, the casual cotton dress allowed the vibrant color of Willis’ shoes to become the focus of her look.
Willis is not the only one experimenting with the recently revived footwear trend, as a number of celebrities have been seen sporting a similar pair of youthful jelly shoes. In an Instagram post from July of 2023, Blackpink‘s Lisa shared a slideshow of snapshots from her trip to Paris wearing the same pair of Melissa Possession sandals. The singer styled the colorful shoes similarly to Willis, donning a midi-length cotton dress in the same shade of lavender.
The star was in town on Wednesday for her appearance on the “Today” show. The subject of a short interview, Willis discussed her experience as a new mother and her relationship with her father, actor Bruce Willis.
