Rita Ora was spotted in a monochromatic look by Burberry today in New York, while promoting her upcoming movie “Descendants: Rise of the Red.”

The “For You” singer sported vibrant bright red thong sandals. The summer-ready style was ankle length and featured a thong construction with shiny bright red leather uppers, open square toes and non-slip rubber soles.

The sandal silhouette is futuristic,c given its unique structure and striking colo,r while reminiscent of more traditional styles. Thong sandals are exceedingly popular, especially as the weather gets warm. Similar styles like Ora’s own can be purchased from a variety of brands including Torrid, Revolve, Melissa and Jeffrey Campbell, among others.

In recent years, sandals of all kinds have enjoyed a resurgence in popularity. No longer relegated to beaches and pools, the open-toed style has been accepted by the masses. The silhouette was adopted by high-fashion brands like The Row and JW Anderson, making the silhouette more fashion-forward. Since then, open-toed sandal styles of all kinds are cropped up everywhere, featured on the famous feet of stars like Kendall Jenner, Hailey Beiber and Katie Homes.

In a matching fashion, the “I Will Never Let You Down” singer sported a two-piece set in a coordinating bright red hue. Ora’s look was comprised of a sleeveless high-neck top fitted with silver clasp detailing accompanied by baggy trousers. The top and bottom featured an embossed cut-out print. Additionally, Ora wore sunglasses from Loewe with black lenses and puffy red frames along with a variety of edgy silver statement jewelry.

Ora’s a mainstay in the fashion industry, having starred in campaigns for Donna Karan, Roberto Cavalli and Escada over the years. The musician has collaborated on past fashion lines with Adidas Originals and Tezenis, as well as a shoe capsule with Giuseppe Zanotti. She’s also been a longtime partner of ShoeDazzle, creating several collections for the budget-friendly brand.
