Rita Ora made a sharp fashion statement in New York City on Dec. 29 with a Burberry look including a pair of thigh-high leather boots featuring an eye-catching wedge heel.
On the chilly winter day, Ora was layered up in a chic ensemble from the British brand. She appeared to be wearing the Detachable Warmer Cotton Parka, which retails for $4,990. Intentionally designed to be oversized, the coat features a heavyweight cotton canvas and bears an appliquéd B shield logo on one arm. The detachable fleece warmer features a jacquard-woven Burberry Check print in striking hues including a bright red.
The “Let Me Love You” singer also seemed to be wearing Burberry’s Leather Pillar High Boots, a thigh-high skin-tight style retailing for $3,150. Zippers adorn the sides of the shoe, a wedge heel lifts up the look and a rounded toe stands out in front. Additionally, Burberry’s Equestrian Knight Design is embossed on the soles.
This style is one of many boots Burberry has produced in their long history; Kerry Washington is another star to have recently stepped out in a boot from the brand. At a lunch in London celebrating the movie “The Six Triple Eight,” she donned a unique black pair featuring a faux-fur trim and a dainty gold chain.
Rita Ora is no stranger to a heeled black boot. At Manchester Pride in the spring, she performed in a calf-length pair featuring a block heel; the shoes served as a classic complement to her colorful ensemble. She also wore a black pair of Marc Jacobs’ popular Kiki boot at the 2024 British Fashion Awards. The bold platform style features several buckled straps, creating a distinguishable edgy aesthetic. She paired the boots with a vibrantly patterned dress with a sheer top.
