Rihanna, debuting her third pregnancy, was ready to turn heads on Met Gala Monday, from her pre-Met look to her on-carpet look to her post-party look. She was seen in NoHo heading to an after party at Jean’s wearing an all-black ensemble rounded out by a pair of lacy pointed-toe shoes.
After making a statement in Marc Jacobs at the museum, the Fenty founder stepped out in a long satiny skirt with corset-style lacing up the sides. She also modeled a ruffly crop top and notch lapel blazer, letting her baby bump show. A lacy head scarf covered her head, picking up a design showcased on her shoes.
In addition to matching her lacy scarf, the musician maintained the criss-cross lacing motif seen in her skirt with her pointed-toe shoes, which featured lacing up the front of the foot. The upper showcased a dainty black design against a beige backdrop, with an ovular inner outline trimmed in black.
Rihanna wore a baby blue Miu Miu look from the brand’s fall 2025 line earlier in the day, a casual monochrome outfit consisting of a ribbed long sleeve top, knee-length skirt, and knee-high socks paired with pumps. She eventually made her way onto the Met Gala daffodil-printed carpet wearing a custom dandy-inspired look by Marc Jacobs paired with custom Amina Muaddi Oxford mules.
The 2025 Met Gala unfolded on May 5, the first Monday in May, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City with the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” which examines Black dandyism. Celebrity co-chairs included Colman Domingo, Pharrell Williams, A$AP Rocky and Lewis Hamilton; LeBron James was an honorary co-chair. This year, the philanthropic event raised $71 million for the Costume Institute, a record-breaking number for the Met Gala.
