Maybe Randy Moss could have been a kicker?
After both kickers botched potentially game-winning field goal attempts in overtime during Sunday night’s 6-6 tie between the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks, ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown” crew got to talking yesterday about whether they could convert such a kick themselves.
Just before the start of the Texans-Broncos matchup, each former NFL player on ESPN’s panel made an attempt, including Steve Young, Trent Dilfer, Charles Woodson and Matt Hasselback. Only Randy Moss had the goods. The retired Hall of Fame wide receiver casually drilled two 28-yard field goals in a row — while wearing dress shoes. Afterward, 39-year-old Moss did a little dance on the field to celebrate.
